Cultivate, 2020

Following my black and white era of 2016-18, Cultivate was part of a series where I reintroduced colour to my palette. Until this point, every painting had been created intuitively, with no final image in mind. It was one of the last works before shifting to a more realistic-surrealist practice in 2021.
